My son will turn 3 at the end of May. I'd like to buy him his first leather baseball glove but am not sure what size I should buy. Any advice?

Hi, I'm a Mom & my little boy is going to be playing baseball for the first time. He is lefthanded. Would he need a left handed baseball glove? Or since he would be pitching w/ his left hand, need a right hand one for his right hand or need one of each for different plays? Thank you in advance to anyone that answers.
