From the supplier: Various reviews have been made on the progress of the FAA in implementing airline and airport security and terrorism prevention recommendations from the White House Commission on Aviation Safety and Security. Some of the recommendations were the use of markers that identify explosives' manufacturers, databases on explosives crimes, computer-assisted passenger screening and explosives detection training programs. Although the FAA has been criticized for its inspection methods, it claims that it is doing its part in implementing the recommendations.

From the supplier: A combination of existing and advanced systems was designed for the access control system of the Denver International Airport. The airport management required a system that limited access for authorized personnel such as caterers and baggage handlers, and also an anti-tailgating mechanism on doors and other entrances to allow entrance to only one person using a single access card. Cardkey Systems Inc produced a system integrator which would provide an interface for all databases on all field and central computers.
