      • Review:: 'The Complete Guide to Yeast This book is packed with information on yeast overgrowth, symptons, rememdies, and meal plans. I found it very helpful in learning what yeast does to your body, how you develop candida, and how to stop the cycle.
      • Review:: 'Help, finally! This book has been a lifesaver for me! After 7 years of suffering from a myriad of symptoms, going from doctor to doctor, with no resolution to my problems, I finally got some relief after reading this book. Little did I know, all my symptoms were related to one root cause: systemic candidiasis. After doing some research on the internet, I was led to this book. I had seen several recommendations for it, and excellent reviews. This book will help you to confirm what is happening in your body, and give specific steps you can take to start treating yourself to feel better. I have been putting Dr. Crook's suggestions into practice for a little over a month now and I feel so much better! So far, I have only been able to use homeopathic remedies - no prescription drugs - and have noted a marked improvement in my general health and well-being. I highly recommend this book to anyone who suspects they have a systemic yeast infection.
      • Review:: 'Good place to start I agree, to a point, with the reviewers who didn't find this book to have all the answers, BUT like another reviewer pointed out, this should be just one of the books in your library. I have suffered from candida for more than 20 years. If the reviewer who claimed that candida was invented by the author had suffered from it, then (s)he would know that it is very real and can be, for some people, debilitating. I suggest you check this book out of the library before you buy it. If you are well versed in this disease, then you might not want to buy it... but if you are just starting your research, you'll find a lot of answers in here.
      • Review:: 'This is required reading for anyone who wants genuine quality of life and medical care.

This book has really been a turning point in my own health trials and trevails and I applaud Dr. Crook and his confederates for persisting despite the typical reaction of the public in rejecting that which is not add water and mix. And yet, this is as simple as that in many ways.

I also enjoyed Proof Positive and really think that if Dr. Nedley could explore the yeast connection he would really have a very well rounded book because Dr. Crook has not ignored the very real and pervasive danger of chemicals and their deleterious effect on us humans and it's correlation to yeast problems.

Highly recommended reading for the intelligent and open minded.

      • Review:: 'Read me after reading all the negative reviews This book helped me as I am sure that it has helped others. Other reviewers stated that they couldnt find the info that they were looking for or that he advertised other books. You must look closely into this book and you will find your answers. Most people read and get upset when there are not pictures to follow but if you are truly sick you will comb every page looking and finding the answers. He talks about other books and gives other doctors insights because he is trying to give resources to the reader and this sickness is not readily accepted by doctors and he asks you to give a copy to your doctor. He writes from the possible understanding that he must help another doctor see the way to help the better good of patients all over the world. This book is written to patients and doctors. Reviewers look a little closer.

The Triple Whammy Cure- The Breakthrough Women's Health Program for Feeling Good Again in 3 Weeks

Cover of ISBN 0743269071The Triple Whammy Cure
The Breakthrough Women's Health Program for Feeling Good Again in 3 Weeks:
Book by David Edelberg and Heidi Hough. Free Press 336 pages Hardcover Published 2005-12-20. Description: Body and mind beware: relentless stress, shifty hormones, and dwindling serotonin spell big trouble for the idle. Blending conventional and alternative methods to squash their threat, Dr. David Edelberg presents The Triple Whammy Cure, a comprehensive plan for lifelong physical and mental well-being. Edelberg's work aims to help women, especially, who suffer from moderate but constant depression, fatigue, achy joints, and stress--the type that hangs around for years before raising red flags at the doctor's office. Through his three-week-long kick start plan, readers learn how to eat better, incorporate exercise, relaxation techniques and natural supplements into their lifestyles, and how to boost their mood-lifting serotonin levels. Forget weightloss plans; Edelberg says better health results from minding the whammy.

Similar to Dr. Christiane Northrup's work on women's health, The Triple Whammy Cure also explores disorders that result when sufferers ignore nagging symptoms. Anxiety, Fibromylagia, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), and the full gamut of menstrual issues (from PMS to menopause) each receive Edelberg's full attention as he illuminates connections to triple whammy causes and prescriptions for relieving discomfort. Food's role is to nourish; whole foods and portion control are key to quelling symptoms. His sound information offers help to all types--from those who work better in groups to those who appreciate do-it-yourself methods; from the antsy reader who will gladly dart around the book (as suggested by Edelberg's many "see page" references), to the cover-to-cover crowd. Score another point for moderation and self-care.--Liane ThomasDescription:

Is this your life? You've been feeling just plain awful for far too long -- depressed, exhausted, achy, stressed-out, bloated, and forgetful. In fact, you're beginning to find it hard to remember the last time you felt really well -- or even just okay. So you go to the doctor -- perhaps even a series of doctors -- who tell you either that your test results are normal and you're fine or that you have to learn to live with your symptoms. Maybe they even prescribe medications that don't help or that knock you out with side effects. You're fed up. You want your health back. If this sounds familiar, read on.

You may be suffering from what Dr. David Edelberg calls the "Triple Whammy" -- a three-pronged assault on body and mind made up of unrelenting stress, low levels of the feel-good brain chemical serotonin, and your ever-shifting hormones. You can benefit from The Triple Whammy Cure, a simple but highly effective three-week plan that can stop this devastating attack and let you feel good again. It's important to take action now because, if Triple Whammy symptoms aren't stopped, Triple Whammy disorders can eventually develop: chronic anxiety, chronic fatigue syndrome, memory loss, PMS, menopause problems, postpartum depression, depression, fibromyalgia, wintertime blues, TMJ, irritable bowel syndrome, brain fog, migraines, sleep problems, overeating, and weight gain. If you've been diagnosed with one or more of these, you can start feeling better soon by following the Three-Week Cure and the special healing path provided for your condition.

Author Dr. David Edelberg is a recognized pioneer in treating chronic illnesses and a practicing physician with thirty years of clinical experience. Dr. Edelberg's Triple Whammy Cure is a natural program that provides powerful but easy solutions for each of the three whammies, with steps that include: boosting your serotonin levels without taking an antidepressant, natural supplements backed up by the best studies for smoothing hormonal swings, and a stress-relief menu that's more fun than work. There's also a delicious serotonin-boosting eating plan. And reading his healing paths for Triple Whammy disorders is like having a virtual appointment with Dr. Edelberg.

The Triple Whammy Cure is so simple that Dr. Edelberg's thousands of patients wondered how it would work -- until they tried it themselves and felt so much better only twenty-one days later. Case stories in the book show how these patients got their lives back. Now, The Triple Whammy Cure can help you get back your life, too.

      • Review:: 'The Triple Whammy Cure Find the book very interesting. Plan on trying the food plan.
      • Review:: 'I'M NOT GOING CRAZY I wish I could rate it a 10! Finally a great read to help women going through a major time in their life cycle...perimenopause(35-55, yes it can start that early) Combine hormonal imbalance with a busy, stressful (good & bad)life, can make any woman feel like she is going crazy both physically and mentally. This book will enlighten you and show you steps to feeling better. I have my signature smile back. A MUST READ FOR TODAY'S WOMEN! It can help the men in your life too.
      • Review:: 'Rings true This book has some excellent advice. It says that women are more vulnerable to the bad effect stress has on your body because they naturally have lower serotonin. Then it goes on to describe many illnesses that are caused in part by stress that women certainly get more of than men. It gives very helpful ways to increase your serotonin naturally and to balance your hormones. He says you need to be outside taking in the light with your eyes. If you are inside all day and then when you go out you have sunglasses on, your body will not produce enough serotonin. This was a revelation for me because all these female symptoms are in my family but my sister doesn't get them. And I realize that she doesn't wear sunglasses. Also, I didn't have symptoms for a few years when my child was small- during that time I didn't wear sunglasses because he would pull them off. It's very interesting. The only thing I wasn't sure about in the book was when the author said that fish oil supplements were tested and don't contain any Mercury. That made me lose some trust in him because the supplements didn't contain any "detectable levels of Mercury" according to the website he recommended. That is very different to "no Mercury." I think this book is worthwhile for women to check out. I have started to follow many of the suggestions in it.
      • Review:: 'Triple Whammy Book - NEW This book was received in perfect condition in prompty timely manner. The information is invaluable.
      • Review:: 'This is incredibly valuable information! When I think of all the time, effort and money I have wasted over the years, and the true discomfort! I wish I would have had this book 20 years ago I am definitely getting copies for my niece, sisters, and friends. Dr. Edelberg explains very thoroughly and in a way that is interesting what the heck has been going on all these years with these hormones! His book is enlightening and gives great practical solutions and allowed me to implement my own Triple Whammy Cure with unbelievable results. I want to share this with everyone I know. Even some men suffer alot of the same symptoms Dr. Edelberg describes and can really benefit from employing his Triple Whammy Cure techniques. Dr. Edelberg has truly given us a gift with this book - all of his years of experience, observation, and working with patients that we can benefit from. Thank you. Deb Morrin
